What is the Surrogacy Opportunity?

What is Surrogacy? Surrogacy is a family creation option in which a woman (Surrogate) allows an embryo to be implanted into her uterus, and she carries the baby to full term. When the baby is born, the baby is handed over to its biological parents, allowing a couple to have a son or daughter who is genetically related to them.

What is a family creation option? It is a way in which a couple chooses to have children. Family creation options include natural pregnancy, adoption, in-vitro fertilization, and surrogacy.  There are parents who decide to use two of these methods, such as the natural way and adoption.  They are inclusive family creation choices; they can be used together.  The Logic Behind Family Creation Options

Why Become a Surrogate?
Compassion for infertile couples. There are surrogates who have a personal attachment to someone who was not able to have children. They have seen the pain and loss that a couple who want to become parents face when pregnancy does not happen naturally.   Motherhood Vanished

Helping others by giving others what I have. All Omega Surrogates are mothers themselves and they know what joys motherhood can bring. Allowing others to have what they have but with children of their own is the reason behind women becoming Surrogates.

Income with a Purpose. Surrogacy can provide a mother with young children the opportunity to stay home with them while generating an income that will benefit her family. This income, although temporary, can be extremely beneficial for one-income families.  Income For Mom, With a Purpose

    • Mothers who seek extra income while taking care of their children at home.
    • Families who seek to fulfill a family goal with the money that Surrogacy brings to the family: a jumpstart on savings for a house or children’s college education.
    • Compassionate mothers who want to help others achieve their own family goals.
    • Women who enjoy pregnancy and no longer want children of their own.
    • To support one-income households with an additional income for several months.

Compensation and Benefits of Becoming a Surrogate

MONETARY COMPENSATION

Compensated Gestational Surrogacy is when a woman decides to give birth to a baby that is not genetically related to her and receive payment for it. The compensation begins with a base pay that increases as do the number of Surrogacy Journeys a woman has. Then there are additional fees or allowances that she may receive depending on extra procedures or other developments. There are circumstances such as multiple births or mock cycle fees that can increase the amount a Surrogate is paid. Please read our blog …

Looking for an Agency?

No matter how the idea of becoming a Surrogate came into your mind, it is always best to work with an agency because it takes care of all the details involved in the surrogacy process. For example, let the staff take care of all the legal and medical arrangements with Intended Parents, while you concentrate on becoming the solution for a family that cannot have children on their own.

The first step is to do your research.  What should you look for?  Our top five tips are listed below. If you would like more detailed information, read our   How Do I Choose the Right Surrogacy Agency For Me?

  1. Check each agency’s Frequently Asked Questions section. Do these questions resonate with you?
  2. Find out if the Surrogacy Agency you are looking into works in a state where Compensated Gestational Surrogacy is authorized.
  3. When you find an agency that you feel comfortable with, prepare a list of questions that you would like the staff to answer.
  4. Make sure you understand their policies and procedures.
  5. Do you feel comfortable with the answers provided and how you are treated?

The Omega Way

Omega Family Surrogates understands how special and how compassionate the women who consider surrogacy are.  It takes someone with a big heart and a lot of understanding to put her body through another pregnancy for someone else.   This is why Omega provides all the information upfront, and is very clear about how everything works.

There is a very small percentage of women who qualify to become Omega Surrogates because Omega makes sure that they are doing Surrogacy for all the right reasons.  Although compensation is a plus and is a differentiating part of Compensated Gestational Surrogacy from Traditional Surrogacy, it is not the main reason why these women become Surrogates. The main reason is to provide a family with children of their own bloodline to continue their family traditions.
